and agility jumping as well as therapy visits. He shakes hands, rolls over,
dances on his hind legs, speaks on command,
and sometimes not on command, and has a little skit where he gets arrested for rowdiness and has to put his
front paws up against a wall, while I frisk him! He really love's having people pet and scratch him and
make a fuss over him. If an occasional cracker or cookie gets slippped to him, he feels as if the visit
was a real success! He especially is responsive to children, the elderly and seems to sense when someone
is ill or not feeling well.
If he gets laughter from a group, then he gets excited and will then shift to high gear
to get even more laughs.
Peppie has come a long way from the
nine month old adolescent who was
going to be put to sleep because he was so wild and uncontrollable. Yes, he is a rescue dog. We love
our involvement with Therapy Dogs, Inc., and we plan on doing this for many more years! Peppie
and I hope to see you soon on a Therapy Dog visit.
