Therapy Dogs Rusty and Patch with 
John and Sandy Canary 
Hi, my name is Rusty Canary TD Inc. I'm the one in red, and that's my canine dad,
Patch, in black and white. We live with our human parents, John and Sandy Canary, plus six other
Border Collies.
Patch and I have been doing therapy visits to nursing homes and schools for nearly
10 years now. I love going to visit people, and really get into showing off my stuff, mainly fetching
the dumbbell, or my favorite, a tennis ball !! It make me so happy to be petted and made over. One
time at a nursing home visit, I disappeared from my Dad's Side. He didn't have to look very far, as
I was sitting beside a real nice fellow in a wheelchair, who was really petting so nice. I didn't want
to leave his side, and could have sat right there all night !
We also do obedience and agility at
our house, and I have titles in both. 
That's Wendy in the weave poles and Skip, the speed buff doing the jump.
Mom would like to take Skip on some therapy visits and get his certification.
He visited a school once, and had a blast.
The kids loved him too!
Chance and Rex are the babies and are a year old now. Mom has taken Chance on several
therapy visits, and hopes to have him certified now that he is old enough.
You might say that he has been
"in training". He really gets excited on these visits, and wants to
"check out" everyone!
